Siomha is too similar to Saoirse. Seiodin offers the most variety of sound. (Nickname Deenie?) Under one roof that is not a trifling matter. In fact, I’d prefer to see something that doesn’t start with an S, like Blaithin or Muirgheal. Good luck! :0)
*Seoidin* (sorry)
What are the meanings of these names? Are they variants of anything? Just wondering. :0)
Síomha is an ancient name meaning great peace
Siún is the same as joan and it means god is gracious and Seoidín means little jewel

Ah, thank you. Irish names are my favorite and I love finding new ones to love. I did find Siomha at behindthename.com. They list the pronunciation as "SHEE-vuh" but I know pronunciation is not uniform in Ireland. So interesting.
I wondered about Siun being Joan because of Siobhan and (Welsh) Sian. The "shoon" sound is growing on me. I still think it’s too similar to your other children’s names. But again, thanks for a new addition to my long list. :0)
