I would pn it Lee-oh-nee since it's just just the name Leona (Lee-oh-Nah)

Noelani spelling for correct spelling and pronunciation; you do kind of say the E in passing, you just don't stress it

Do you live in France? Or anywhere in the U.K.?
If not and you live in the states, though you like that pn, you won't get that.

There's many people living in the states with names like Saoirse so we're not too worried about it :) and everyone who knows her will know the correct pronounciation

And we also have the option of Leioni listed up there so we haven't made a final spelling decision.

I like the spelling Leioni! If people can figure out how to pronounce Leilani then Leioni would be wonderful! But if you love Leonie then spell it that way. People will deal with it. Love the name! GL

Poster, if you live in the states many people upon meeting her or seeing her name will say Lee-oh-nee. You will get pn issues. Just pointing that out.

I like only the Leonie spelling and I do prefer the French pronunciation that you like so everything is fine by me!
I'd pronounce it LEE oh nee not LAY oh nee. Never butcher the spellings of a name like you have listed above like Leoni, Leonee, Leonei, Leonii, or Leioni.

Leonie with the "lay" pronounciation is beautiful! Leioni is also pretty too.

She didn't butcher the spelling. Those are actually alternative spellings, very rare but they're legit. I love Leioni. GL!
