Names vs. Like vs. Shiloh

Hey everyone, so my husband and I are expecting a baby girl and we love the name Shiloh, however we don't want people to be reminded of Angelina Jolies daughter if we name our daughter that . We love the meaning of it ( peace ) and I believe it's a biblical name so are there any unusual names like shiloh out there , obviously it doesn't have to be biblical, we just thought it was a nice origin

I don't think you're going to have a problem of the name reminding people of Angelina Jolie. I know a few girls named Shiloh and no ones ever said anything about that. If you love it, use it. Who cares what others think anyway

Noëlle/Noelle - Means "Christmas", a time of peace and joy.

Kasmira or Kasimira/Kazimiera - Both feminine forms of Casimir which means "proclamation of peace". (I am not positive about this meaning. According to Behind the Name, Casimir is the "English form of the Polish name Kazimierz, derived from the Slavic element kaziti 'to destroy' combined with miru 'peace, world'." I'm not exactly sure what the name would mean, then?)

Mira - Meaning "peace" or "world".

Irene or Irena - Meaning "peace".

Wilfreda - Meaning "desiring peace" from Old English wil "will, desire" and friþ "peace". (Source: Behind the Name.)

Freda - See above. ☺

Frida - I presume this is pronounced the same as Freda and they seem to have very similar origins. Means "peace."

Frederica - Means "peaceful ruler."

That's all that I can think of right off the bat. ;) You could name her after someone, either Biblical, from history, or that you know personally, who always strives to spread peace. =)

I would never think of that and i doubt anyone else would. Its a very usable name and angelina jolie is not very big anymore.
Not like naming your daughter North, everyone would think of Kim K.

I don't think of Angelina Jolie's child, but I do think of the dog Shiloh, which was a book (possibly also turned into a movie), and you know how dog stories end....
