Nicknames for vs. Avonlea

Hi everyone! We've decided on Avonlea for our girl's name. The only nickname I can think of is Avvy, so some suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also do you like this spelling? I love the original spelling from the book Anne of Avonlea but I don't like this name pronounced Av-on-lee-ah, a spelling like Avenley might be easier to pronounce. Thanks in advance!

I think Avonlea looks prettier than Avenley. You don't really need to use a nickname, but you could use Lee/Lea.

I really dislike place names on people. Unless it has a good meaning by itself. As far as I know, Avonlea has no meaning. Do you like Avon Lee? I think Avon is a girl's name. Anyway:

Lea (pronounced "Lee")
Allie
Annie
Onni
Vonnie
Vea
Noli (pronounced "noe-lee")

I know an Avonlea and think the name is very pretty! I like the nicknames Avie, Lee, Leah. GL!
