Alexy vs. Alexi vs. Alexie

Or Alexey? Love the name Alexy for our baby girl with the nn Lexy (spelling will depend on first name spelling) or Ally! We know the name was originally a boys name, where Alexei is from Greek and Russian background and Alexis comes from French background (dont take me word for it please!!) but we love it for our little girl. We adore the nickname Lexy but arent too keen on using it as a first name. Alexandra was our next option but we think it is a bit basic and dont really love it; we would only be using it to get the nn Lexy and we dont want to do that. Once we decide on spelling, we will move to middle names. Thank you!

Alexi doesn't need a nickname as Lexi is just leaving out the uh at the beginning, you may as well call her by her full name and Ally doesn't make a lot of since either since it's the same amount of syllables. Alexandria nn Alexi or Lexi or Ally would be better imo. GL

I would use Alexi or Alexei, because Alexy looks odd, and Alexie looks like a nickname. Maybe Lexa or Alexa? You could use Elexa if you want it to stand out. Maybe Elexia too. Lexington might work, but it's a little more masculine than the others.
