Nicknames vs. for vs. Mariposa

My boyfriend and I are trying to think of cute word names for our baby girl due in January. Right now, our favorites are Halo, Moon, and Mariposa. Since I'm 1/2 Ethiopian and 1/2 Spaniard, I though it would be cute to incorporate a Spanish name. I really like Mariposa but I don't like the nicknames Mari or Posie... Any other ideas? If we use Mariposa, her middle name will probably be Sade (a Yoruba name meaning royalty, to honor her dad's Nigerian heritage). Thoughts? Thanks for your help - Zya + Saphi

Ik I'm late but if u went with mariposa her nickname can be mars .I have the same name and I go by mars
