I wouldn't use Ollie either since it is the common nickname for Oliver. Ollie would be the spelling I would use.

I would spell it Ollie but it's a nickname so really does not matter. She will be Olivia on all papers and documents. If you really are against a common name than I would pick something else. A nickname changes throughout life. I can see going by Ollie until about grade 2 but I can't imagine an adult introducing themselves by this.

Similar with any other name sure go by Sammie, Jennie, Gracie, Stephie, Annie etc. as a young girl but eventually it sounds childish and immature and you take on a more professional adult name.

Sam, Jen, Steph, Anne, Grace etc.

If you really dislike Liv I would pick something else because chances are at some point she will like it.

I would use Ollie. It's the easier to spell and the most recognizable. Oli looks like O-lai (like Eli).

If you don't want her to have a common name, Olivia is definitely not the name to go with!
