If you live in France, then go for Lyrique - but if not, you’ll just confuse people.

I like the spelling of Lyrique. I like it as a mn to Ivy Lyrique.

No, just spell it Lyric. I think it’s silly to take a simple name and spell it all weird. It doesn’t make it a different name.

I love unique spellings of names. Don’t not pick it because it might confuse people. Its a name not a word in a spelling bee.

Well, both spellings are nice. If you have a french heritage, spelling it Lyrique would be a fine way to honor it! I think its pretty spelled like that, myself. Use the one you like best. But here are some mn’s:
Lyrique Annaleise
Lyrique Camille
Lyrique Journey
Lyrique Vanessa
Lyrique Kathryn
Lyrique Taylor
Lyrique Lynette
Lyrique Genevieve
WDYT? More?

Yeah, don’t care if your kid has to spell her name out her ENTIRE life! She’ll feel like she’s in a spelling bee. And it’ll start in preschool!! Besides, it looks like Lyrica anyway. I hate unique spellings of names, what’s the point? If you want something unique go look for it, don’t take a plain name and spell it different, it makes no sense. Not saying Lyric is plain, it isn’t.

I’m french and I’ve never heard the name ’Lyrique’. It’s another one of those french-sounding names that aren’t actually used by the french.
I suggest you just go with Lyric.

I never said it was a french name (and even if it was I’m sure you don’t know every french name out there). I got that spelling on a french dictionary. It said Lyrique was the french form of Lyric. But I am french, and yes, this is a way to honor my heritage. More mn’s would be great! (But the spelling isn’t such a big deal to me.)Thanks!
