Ailey vs. Eiley
I love the name Eilidh (pronounced AYE-leigh) but I feel like it's going to be too difficult for her to spell as well for others. We've decided on the spelling Ailey but I love E names and would rather spell it Eiley. Will we run into the same problem if we spell it with an E? How would you spell the name? If pronunciation is an issue you want to avoid, go with Ailey. It's just like Bailey, self-explanatory. Eiley I thought was EYE-lee, like Eisley (EYES-lee) and Eileen.

Go with the traditional spelling . If its the true spelling people will learn it and it looks better .
Both work, like an short form of Aileen (or Eileen).

I would pronounce Ailey as A-lee (like Kaylee without a K)
I would pronounce Eiley as eye-lee (rhymes with Kylie)
I would pronounce Eiley as eye-lee (rhymes with Kylie)
I also vote the traditional spelling! People will learn.

Assuming Aye = Eye... Eiley is more aligned to that pronunciation. Ailey would rhyme with Kailey to me. Kayley is actually my own name :P
