Like names vs. Riley

My spouse and I wanted to name our next daughter Riley...however not only did one of our friends name her daughter Riley, but two of our friends miscarried babies they were going to name Riley and Rylee...it just doesn't feel right to use the name now...we really liked this name, but we think it would be inconsiderate to use since we are close with all three of these ladies, are there any other names that might give us the same vibe as Riley? Thanks -Ellie

My niece is Brileigh....basically mom loved Riley but Riley is so popular where we live so Brileigh was the alternative she found she liked.

Other spellings: Brylee, Briley, Brylie

You are very considerate and, I can tell, a good friend. Sometimes pushing outside your comfort zone means you find something you love even more. How about:

Zadie -- var. of Sadie, from Sarah, = princess
Cleo
Ruby
Zelie -- ("ZAY-lee") French nn for Sollemnia / Solange, = religious
Kate
Summer -- nn Sunny
Alani -- Hawaiian, = orange tree, could honor an Alan
Lila
Saffron
Bryony -- ("BRIE-uh-nee") a flower, could honor a Brian
Juno
Kylie -- Australian aboriginal
Lark
Ellery -- var. of Hilary, = happy
Juniper
Bridget -- nn Bridie ("bride + ee")
Bridie -- trad. Irish nn for Bridget, reminds me of bridles and horse riding
Rosina
Elva -- white in Gaelic (Ailbhe) or elf-like in Danish, nn Elvy
Sheridan
Patience -- nn Patsy, Pax
Pax -- Roman goddess of peace
Afton -- Scottish river
Kiri -- Maori, = tree bark ("KEER-ee")
Linden -- a tree
Linnet -- a bird
Devon -- English county
Romilly -- ("RAHM-i-lee") French town, nn Romy ("RO-mee")
Emerald
Katharine -- nn Keats
Ramona -- fem. of Raymond, nn Romy
Coralie -- French, = coral
Evaine / Yvaine -- minor char. in King Arthur tales
Blythe
Ivy
Willodean -- a deanery by willows, nn Deanie
Alix -- var. of Alice
Briallen -- ("bree-AL-en") Welsh, = primrose, nn Bree

A mood board of styles. Thanks for any feedback and good luck! :0)
