Isabel vs. Isabella
Isabel or Isabella?
What do you guys think of either name? I've already named my daughter Isabel but lately have been finding myself really drawn to Isabella. Also, what are your thoughts about this specific spelling— Isabel. I realize I can still call her Isabella, but I'm really loving how Isabella looks written out. I chose Isabel over Isabella because I liked how "clean", modern yet still elegant it looks.

I prefer Isabel to Isabella personally though both are nice
I love Isabel. Not a fan of "Bella" names. The "Belle" ending is beautiful though.

I love Isabella for several reasons. The name Isabella I always extend out to Isabella anyway. And I absolutely love the nick name Bella. I know that that Isabelle is the most popular but that's my preference.

I like Isabella, Isabelle and Isobel. To me Isabel just looks like it's Isabelle cut short.

They are both beautiful. I prefer Isabel a little more, but I like the way the spelling Isabelle looks better. It looks prettier and romantic to me.

I can see the appeal of either. I guess it comes down to what sort of vibe you want the name to give off - feminine or modern? What would you dislike more, the name being perceived as too frilly or too plain?
How likely are you to use the nickname bella or belle, which lends itself to Isabelle better.
For what it's worth, I voted Isabel - I prefer to give off the vibe of being spunky rather than frilly

No matter how you spell it , it doesn't change the fact that Isabella or Isabelle is so popular and especially with the overused nickname BELLA

The trouble with the name Isabella is people mishear it and call you Isabel (so wearing I eventually gave up correcting them). Just a thought!
