Alysia vs. Alisia
Which spelling do you think looks the best? We don't want to use Alicia due to the confusion of how to say it as it can be said alice-ee-a and al-ee-sha. We want the first way so think it would be best to use a ending of "sia". Thank you!
The Top Baby Name is...

I know an Alysha and an Elysia both pronounced with the lee-she ending. I've also only heard of Alicia pronounced as ah-lee-sha. I'm in central Canada if it helps. So for the alice-ee-uh pronunciation, I voted for Alisia. Alessia would also be a similar sounding name.

Alicia = ah-LEE-sha
Alisha = ah-lee-sha or ah-LISH-ah
Alysia = ah-LEE-see-ah
Alisia = ah-LEE-see-ah or ah-lee-ZEE-ah
I feel like you need two L's or two E's to get what you're looking for. Or an accent on the i.
Aliseea
AlicĂa (the accent makes it ee and means you should put the emphases on it)
Alisha = ah-lee-sha or ah-LISH-ah

It's a pretty name. I think it's just one of those names that doesn't have a spelling that is super clear. I think of the options you propose Alysia might be better, but I think others may still mispronounce either of these too. Personally I would stick with Alicia. People are aware that there are two different pronunciations so once they learn of which pronunciation you prefer they will use it. Other spellings that are unknown will cause the same thing to happen. People will have to learn how you want it said because they are unfamiliar with it spelled that way.

I'm this is my name! I HATE it and I hate never forgave my parents either. About 80% of people get it wrong, about 40% of people get it wrong after being corrected >twice and about 1% tell me May parents must have been retarded. Don't do it please.
